Those who know me know that I’m no fan at all of the Republican party or their ‘ideology’. While I’ll admit that I do have some conservative leanings (mostly fiscal and military) and I’ve got a few conservative friends, I’m absolutely dead set against the narcissistic nitwits who say that life would be so much better if they were allowed to be as rich as they want, without paying their fair share.
(And don’t get me started on the pious, condescending holier-than-thou hypocrites who claim the high ground on morality. Can we say Newt Gingrich?)
So why am I in such a happy mood? Because another of those cronies from the Grand Old Parasites, David Stockman, was indicted Monday on charges of fraud, conspiracy and obstruction of justice. The motivation? To mislead auditors and investors in the failing operations of his auto parts company, Collins & Aikman.
How the mighty have fallen. Who was Stockman? He was the boy wonder of Reagan’s administration who thought up the cocked-up idea of ‘trickle down economics’. The idea was that if wealthy individuals and corporations paid less taxes, they would NATURALLY pour that extra money into the economy, thereby stimulating economic growth and start a ‘trickle down’ effect to the lower classes. Although, as the reality turned out, the rich mostly locked up their wealth or traded it amongst themselves; and the middle and lower classes got stuck with higher taxes to make up for the lost revenue. So the Republicans fucked up the economy. Again.
Fast forward to yesterday. Looks like you done sumthin’ bad, Davey-boy. You know what means? Another trip to the “woodshed“. Good riddance on to the trash heap of history, bucko.
(P.S.: Don’t assume that I’m a liberal party lapdog, I’ve got sharp knives for them too; but under no circumstances do I subscribe to the mendacious, malicious bottom-feeding gold-grabbing Republican mentality. Period.)

I like your blog. Keep writing.
Hi Katie, thanks very much. It’s been really slow going to find the time/energy/strength to maintain the blog with the new baby, but the little bear is now 3 months old and sleeping through the night. I have SO much I want to write about Obama (yay!) and Bush (boo!), but it might be another week or so before I can find the time. Thanks again — I’ve got a fan, woo hoo!
actually, you have several fans. A friend of mine who uses google reader (so you might not get a “hit” to count), told me about you and her brother told her about you, etc., etc. She said you hadn’t updated in a while but she had enjoyed what you write about (she has a new baby too).
so, keep up the good work and get some rest.
